Increased Threat of Terrorist Acts in the USA Before the Anniversary of the Hamas Attack on Israel
The Federal Bureau of Investigation warns of an increased threat of terrorist acts in the USA before the anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7. This is stated in an FBI report. Over the past year, violent extremist activity and crimes related to the conflict have been observed in the United States.
The FBI warns that foreign terrorist organizations and other extremists may attempt to motivate threat individuals who are committed to various ideologies, including violent anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, to commit violent acts.
Earlier, Israeli military announced the elimination of a senior Hamas official, Rauhi Mushtaha, who was the de facto prime minister of the Gaza Strip.
Biden: Escalation of the Conflict in the Middle East to a Large-Scale War is Not Expected
US President Joe Biden stated that he does not expect the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East to a large-scale war. This statement was made against the backdrop of Israeli operations against Hamas in the Gaza Strip and against Hezbollah in Lebanon, as well as amid heightened tensions with Iran.
