Attack by terrorists on Dnipro: Reaction of the prominent hockey player
The legendary hockey goalkeeper from the Czech Republic, Dominik Hasek, expressed his support for Ukraine and condemned the Russian terrorist attack on Dnipro. He called for greater assistance in the fight against the aggressor, emphasizing the need to hold Putin accountable in The Hague. The number of victims of the attack amounts to at least 17 people, with around 300 injured.
«Russia again launched attacks on civilian objects. This Time, they hit a train, a hospital, schools, and the homes of peaceful residents in Dnipro... We must provide more support to Ukraine in the fight against the terrorist imperialist enemy – Russia», Hasek noted.
The hockey player actively opposes the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in international competitions due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. He is a two-time Stanley Cup champion and an Olympic champion, and he is considered one of the best goalkeepers in NHL history.

Besides the tragedy in Dnipro, Russian troops shelled other localities in the region, fortunately without casualties. As a result of the missile strike on Nikopol and the bombing of the Novopavlivka community, there were no injuries. The city lost many buildings and infrastructure due to the attacks.
In connection with the tragedy, a day of mourning has been declared, during which state flags are flown at half-mast and the deceased are honored. According to current data, 19 people have died, and over 300 have been injured, including 27 children.
