GUR responded to Fico's idiotic accusations regarding protests in Slovakia.


The commander of the Georgian Legion was accused of attempting a coup, reports the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Officials of the Slovak Republic accused soldiers of the Georgian National Legion, who are 'subordinated' to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, of planning protests in Slovakia to carry out a coup.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine states that it has studied the accusations and warned about the threat of hybrid and informational operations against European countries, which pose a significant threat to Ukraine. The intelligence does not support the accusations and emphasizes that there is no unit called the 'Georgian National Legion.'
The GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine notes that the International Legion of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is a multinational unit that is engaged in battles against Russian invaders and is not involved in any hybrid actions on the territory of the European Union. However, the person mentioned during the press conference is not a Ukrainian serviceman and has no connection to the intelligence.
The GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also emphasizes collaboration with NATO countries and works for the common security and overcoming the challenges posed to Europe by Russian aggression.
Intelligence urges European politicians to be responsible for their words and not to give grounds for hostile propaganda. Russia's attempts to sow discord among the countries of the Free World and to discredit European politicians are ongoing.
The EU is discussing the issue of resuming Russian gas supplies.
