The leader of the local HAMAS cell in the West Bank, Zahi Yaser Abd al-Razek Ufi, was eliminated as a result of an Israeli airstrike, CNN reports citing the IDF.
According to the report, the airstrike took place in the Tulkarem area of the West Bank. Ufi is known for his involvement in planning and carrying out terrorist attacks on Israeli settlements as well as in a number of attacks on Israelis. In addition to him, the IDF reported the elimination of other militants.
HAMAS condemned the airstrike but did not officially confirm Ufi's death.
