Head of State Road Maintenance Enterprise in Poltava Region Enriched by UAH 35.8 Million – NABU.


The director of the state enterprise for road maintenance in the Poltava region was informed of suspicion of legalizing illegally acquired assets and declaring false information. This was reported by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
According to NABU, in 2020-2023, the suspect acquired real estate and movable property, rights to real estate, as well as cryptocurrencies totaling UAH 35.8 million.
This includes a residential house (200.3 sq.m) with a garage, a guardhouse, an outbuilding, and a pool in the suburbs of Poltava, a land plot (40 hundredths) under the house, an apartment (over 100 sq.m) in the city of Poltava, property rights to six apartments in new buildings in the city of Poltava, 73 agricultural land plots with a total area of 146 hectares in the Poltava region, a watercraft with a trailer for it, and various types of cryptocurrency
To conceal assets and their sources (except for cryptocurrency), the official registered the assets to close individuals. However, he owned the cryptocurrency himself but did not declare it.
During the investigation, the court seized the real estate and movable property as well as the rights to real estate.
Let us remind you, the head of the Main Department of the State Treasury Service in the Poltava region, Ihor Veryha, together with his wife declared $62 million in cash, received as an inheritance from parents in the form of foreign currency and precious ingots. This is evidenced by data from the State Register of Declarations.
