Klymenko: Among those freed from captivity are 21 servicemen from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

307 Ukrainians returned home from captivity
During the second stage of the prisoner exchange, 307 citizens returned to Ukraine, including 21 servicemen from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, among those freed are 9 National Guardsmen and 12 border guards, most of whom were detained during combat operations in the Donetsk direction.
These are sensitive and emotional moments - when our defenders come to realize that they are back on their native land, when they hear the voices of their loved ones saying: 'I am home'
The minister promised that the freed Ukrainian fighters will receive necessary assistance, including medical, psychological, and social support. This exchange is part of the '1000 for 1000' agreement, which President Volodymyr Zelensky negotiated during talks in Turkey.
Continuation of exchanges with Russia is expected soon
According to Zelensky, only in two days of exchanges, 697 individuals have already been returned, and interlocutors are waiting for new exchanges in the format of '1000 for 1000'. Among today's freed were soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, border guards, and National Guardsmen.
Analyzing the material, one can say that the prisoner exchange is an important step for the return of Ukrainian citizens home and for continuing peace in eastern Ukraine. Most of those freed are servicemen who participated in combat operations in Donbas, so it is important to provide them with psychological and medical support for further adaptation in peaceful conditions.
