Mike Johnson accused the Ambassador of Ukraine of interfering in the US elections.

Speaker of the US House of Representatives calls on Zelensky to dismiss Ambassador Markarova
Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson published a letter to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in which he demands the immediate dismissal of Ukraine's Ambassador to the US Oksana Markarova. The letter was published on the speaker's official website and on his Twitter.
In his letter, Johnson accuses Ambassador Markarova of organizing a "partisan campaign event" in one of the politically significant states in the US. According to the speaker, this event was held with the participation of a political supporter of Kamala Harris, and Republicans were not invited.

According to Johnson, such an action by the ambassador has led to Republicans losing trust in her as an objective and effective diplomat in the US.
Furthermore, the speaker calls on Ukraine not to interfere in the internal politics of the US and emphasizes that support for Ukraine in the war against Russia is bipartisan. However, such actions by the ambassador could undermine this support.
Johnson also demands "immediate action" from President Zelensky in response to this situation.
