Meat Grinder 2025: British Intelligence Predicts the Bloodiest Year of War for Russia.

According to British intelligence, in 2025, Russian military losses in the war against Ukraine continue to grow. In the first four months of this year, Russia lost about 160,000 military personnel - dead and wounded. The total losses since the beginning of the invasion in 2022 are estimated at around 950,000 people.
Experts note that if such loss rates continue, 2025 could become the most tragic year for the Russian army throughout the entire war. However, the indicators for April remain lower compared to the end of 2024, although they are still high in the overall context of the conflict.
British intelligence also notes that despite significant losses, Russian troops have not been able to achieve significant successes in battle: so far, Russia has failed to turn losses into important victories on Ukrainian soil.
Previous reports from the UK Ministry of Defence indicated that Russia continues to recruit foreign military personnel to participate in the war against Ukraine.
