Mavic is closed for us: how Ukraine solves the drone shortage problem.

There are interesting changes happening in the drone market in Ukraine. Ukrainian military personnel, who are seeking alternatives to Chinese Mavic quadcopters due to restrictions from China, are turning to their own developments and reaching out to volunteers for assistance.
'We know there are several new analogs from other foreign manufacturers,' confirmed the commander of the UAV assault platoon Yegor Firsov.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine allows battalions to procure drones independently and launches the 'DOT Chain Defence' marketplace to simplify procurement. They are also working on analogs to the Chinese Mavic, including the 'Shmavik' drone and the 'Mamba', 'Shark', and 'Valkyrie' platforms.
Development of domestic technologies
Vadim Horyushko, director of VPP Invest, believes that the current crisis may serve as a stimulus for the development of Ukrainian technologies. The state supports domestic manufacturers by exempting drones from duties and VAT, and is actively working on creating its own platforms and projects for testing.
