The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump is proposing a ceasefire in Ukraine for 30 days with the possibility of further extension. This was stated by U.S. Special Representative Kellogg in an interview with Fox News on April 29.
'President [Trump] wants a complete ceasefire for at least 30 days, and then we can extend it. If you look at everything the Ukrainians are willing to work on, it now depends on the Russian side, on Putin. I believe we are close to achieving such a truce,' Kellogg emphasized.According to the Special Representative, the initiative includes a ceasefire on land, in the air, and at sea, as well as ensuring the security of critical infrastructure. Kellogg noted that the Ukrainian side is ready to cooperate within the framework of this initiative and is now awaiting a response from the Russian leadership.
