Ministry of Defense will dismiss the head of the Army Academy due to cadets' complaints.


Dismissal of Pavlo Tkachuk from the position of head of the National Army Academy
After complaints from cadets, Pavlo Tkachuk, head of the National Army Academy named after Hetman Petro Sahaydachny, will be dismissed. This was announced by the first deputy minister of defense Ivan Havryliuk during a question Time in the Verkhovna Rada.
As for Tkachuk - the decision regarding him has already been made. He will be dismissed in the shortest possible time
Pavlo Tkachuk has been a lieutenant general and head of the National Army Academy named after Hetman Petro Sahaydachny since 2002. In 2010, he was a deputy of the Lviv City Council from the Party of Regions, and in 2013 he became an independent member. In 2020, Pavlo Tkachuk was elected to the Lviv Oblast Council as a candidate from the Servant of the People party.
Earlier, one of the instructors of the National Army Academy named after Hetman Petro Sahaydachny was accused of beating and humiliating cadets. He was notified of suspicion of using violence against a subordinate under martial law.
Cadets collectively addressed the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada regarding violations of the rights of servicemen. This commission revealed a number of violations, including regarding the procedure for granting dismissals.
Transfer of the flag of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade
Colonel Pavlo Palisa, the combat commander of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade 'Kholodnyi Yir', handed over the brigade's flag to Lieutenant Colonel Shamil Krutkov, with whom he passed an illustrious combat path as the deputy commander of the brigade.
Also, the total military training period in the National Guard has been extended to 2 months. The program covers all areas. This was reported by the commander of the National Guard, Brigadier General Oleksandr Pivnenko.
