A Drunken Patient Attacked Medics and Destroyed an Ambulance in Vinnytsia Region (photo).


In the Vinnytsia region, a patient who was intoxicated attacked medics and damaged an ambulance. He faces up to five years of restriction of liberty. This is reported by 'Glavcom' referring to the main department of the National Police in the Vinnytsia region.
According to the police, on March 9, medics were called to the village of Makhnivska community to a 21-year-old guy who felt unwell after drinking alcohol. The paramedic decided to hospitalize the patient, but he began to push her. The ambulance driver tried to calm the assailant, but he hit him on the head with a bottle. Then the attacker smashed the front windshield and mirrors of the ambulance.
The law enforcement agencies have initiated criminal proceedings under Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Hooliganism). The victims are undergoing a forensic medical examination to determine the severity of the injuries. The question of notifying the offender of suspicion and choosing a preventive measure is being clarified.
Recall that in the Dnipropetrovsk region, in the city of Marganets, a man called an ambulance for his wife, and when the medics arrived, he attacked them. This was reported by Valentina Marchenko, a medic from the Nikopol Emergency Medical Station.
