Radio Liberty reports, citing Planet Labs satellite images from August 14th, about Ukrainian drone strikes on several Russian military airfields, including 'Borisoglebsk' in the Voronezh region. Several hangars in the northwestern part, where the technical operations section is located, were destroyed at this airfield.
Sources in the SBU confirmed to Radio Liberty that this was the largest attack on Russian military airfields since the beginning of the war. In addition to 'Borisoglebsk', strikes were carried out on airfields in Voronezh, Kursk, and 'Savasleyka'.
According to Defence Express, at the 'Savasleyka' airfield, storage facilities with special fuel for MIG-31K were supposed to be hit. NASA's satellite service recorded a large fire in the fuel and lubricants storage area. Experts believe that damage to the fuel infrastructure could significantly impact the ability to base MIG-31K there.
