New rules for foreigners in Poland: who can have their right to asylum suspended.

The Polish Sejm approved a law limiting foreigners' right to seek asylum
The Polish Sejm voted to approve a law that establishes restrictions for foreigners regarding international protection. 386 members voted in favor of the law, 38 opposed it, and no member abstained.
The law allows for a temporary restriction on the submission period for applications for international protection, which cannot exceed 60 days at a Time.
In addition, the deputies made an important amendment that prohibits family separation at the border. This bill will be sent to the Senate for further consideration.
According to the new law, restrictions on the submission of applications for international protection can be introduced by a resolution of the Council of Ministers upon the proposal of the Minister of the Interior and Administration. The minister must inform the Sejm Committee on Administration and Internal Affairs about such a proposal.
The purpose of the new law is to prevent destabilization of the internal situation in the country. The law should also minimally affect the rights of foreigners seeking international protection. The resolution will specifically define the section of the border where the restrictions will apply.
The Border Guard will continue to accept applications for international protection from vulnerable groups, such as unaccompanied minors, pregnant women, and those needing special consideration due to age or health conditions. The restrictions will also not apply to persons who are at real risk of serious harm in their country of origin, according to the Border Guard's findings.
