Under the cover of the 'May truce', Russia is preparing to intensify strikes – Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In a conversation on Ukrainian television, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces Vladyslav Voloshyn reported that the Russian Federation is using the truce to strengthen its defensive positions. He noted that the previous 'Easter' truce was merely a facade, and that the enemy used this truce for regrouping, strengthening and reinforcing its defensive structures. According to Voloshyn, the number of artillery shellings and kamikaze drone attacks increased after the 'Easter truce'. He also mentioned that Russian troops have not ceased their reconnaissance activities and have been attempting to create passages in mine-explosive barriers. Voloshyn urged caution and not to trust truces from Russia, as they may be used to strengthen enemy forces.
