Over 2300 medical facilities damaged or destroyed due to the war - Ministry of Health.


In early June 2025, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported that 2354 facilities, which are part of 769 medical institutions, have been damaged or destroyed. Of these, 653 facilities have already been fully restored, while another 315 have been partially restored. Among them are medical institutions in de-occupied territories, as well as those that suffered minor damages, such as broken windows, damaged facades, or destroyed roofs.
The majority of medical institutions affected by the war continue to operate: 1400 of them are fully or partially functioning, while others have evacuated some patients to other medical facilities.
“The Ministry of Health of Ukraine, together with international partners, is actively restoring damaged medical institutions to ensure access to quality medical care for all citizens of Ukraine, even during the full-scale war. Thanks to ongoing reconstruction efforts, restored hospitals are gradually returning to operation, and patients are receiving the necessary treatment.”
Status of medical institution restoration
According to the Ministry of Health, the status of restoration of medical institutions after the war is positive. Most facilities have already been fully or partially restored, and hospitals are beginning to return to full operation, providing Ukrainians with necessary medical care.
