Massive fire at the Kartalkaya Grand Hotel in Turkey
A massive fire broke out in the ski resort of Kartalkaya in the Bolu province, resulting in the deaths of 78 people.
Following this tragedy, citizens began to purchase fire extinguishers in large quantities. Entrepreneurs see this as an opportunity to raise prices on fire safety equipment. As a result, prices for fire extinguishers have increased by 100% compared to prices two weeks ago. Sales have also surged by 100%.
Many business owners noticed deficiencies in their buildings after this disaster and are quickly procuring fire safety equipment.
The Ministry of Trade in Turkey has started penalizing companies that raised prices on fire extinguishers after the fire.
