The G7 countries called on Russia to adhere to the ceasefire on equal terms
The G7 countries expressed the necessity of implementing 'security measures' that will guarantee the ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. If Kyiv's proposal is not met, Russia can expect new sanctions.
The final draft of the G7 statement, which was supported by diplomats, emphasizes the need to ensure adherence to the ceasefire and to take reliable security measures so that Ukraine can defend itself against potential acts of aggression. The draft statement still requires approval from the G7 ministers.
The G7 consists of the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United States.
