Real estate sales – for cryptocurrency. It became known who in Ukraine switched to digital money.

The President of the Realtors Association of Ukraine, Olena Haidamaka, reported that in Ukraine, cryptocurrency is used for the purchase and sale of expensive real estate. According to her, such transactions are infrequent and are mainly carried out by those who live abroad and want to legalize their funds. Taxes for these transactions are paid in a cashless form, in hryvnias.
During the war, housing prices have significantly decreased. Now, apartments or houses that previously cost between 3 and 5 million dollars can be purchased for 1.5-2 million. According to Haidamaka, properties are bought by people who have sufficient funds and do not use mortgage loans. The most popular are one-bedroom apartments with minimal finishing.
You won't believe it, but buyers are interested in properties in buildings that have been shelled. According to one realtor, such apartments are sold for 60 thousand dollars and more. There is demand for them.
Furthermore, Haidamaka talked about changes in the state program 'eOselya'. According to the new conditions, until December 2024, any property not older than 55 years can be purchased in small settlements. Previously, the 'eOselya' program stipulated the financing of housing that had been commissioned no more than three years ago.
Currently, the rental market in Kyiv has not yet reached its pre-war levels. This is confirmed by Haidamaka. The cost of renting apartments is gradually increasing but has not yet reached the previous level. For example, previously, 19 thousand hryvnias per month were paid for one such apartment, and now it is 16 thousand.
