It is emphasized that the Russian army has a significant advantage in manpower near Lyman in the Donetsk region, greater than the number of Ukrainian troops. They are preparing for a large-scale offensive in this region.
According to ISW data, the Russian army has already begun to expand its positions near the Zhrebets River since early January. By the end of 2023, they started pushing Ukrainian forces from their positions on the eastern bank of the river, and currently, they have managed to secure themselves on the right bank and are ready for further offensive operations.
Additionally, the Russian army continues to advance near the settlement of Sribne in Donetsk region as of April 2, analysts from the DeepState project report.
