Russia shelled critical infrastructure facilities in Prykarpattia
On January 15, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine, shelling critical infrastructure facilities. This was reported by the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk OVA, Svitlana Onyshchuk.
“The morning in Ukraine began with a missile attack. The enemy used various types of weapons. The targets in Prykarpattia were critical infrastructure facilities. Air Defense Forces were operational in the region,” the message stated.
The head of the Ivano-Frankivsk OVA noted that no one was injured as a result of the attack.
“Fortunately, there were no casualties. Relevant services are working at the scene. The situation is under control,” added the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk OVA.
Russian attacks on energy infrastructure in Lviv and other regions
Early in the morning on January 15, Russians attacked the energy infrastructure of Lviv region. This was reported by the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi.
Emergency power outages were also recorded in Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kirovohrad regions. In addition, DTEK reported that emergency power outages were introduced in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions.
