Details of Sybyga's meeting with Kellogg
'I had a productive meeting with the U.S. President's envoy Keith Kellogg, and I thanked him for joining us on Ukrainian Statehood Day, as well as for his recent participation in the 'Coalition of Will' meeting in Rome,' said Sybyga.
He also noted that after Kellogg's meeting with President Zelensky, he reaffirmed Ukraine's unwavering commitment to peaceful efforts aimed at ending the war and restoring peace.
'We are grateful to President Trump for his key decision to provide new Patriot systems and other weapons alongside European allies,' the Foreign Minister expressed his thanks.
Moreover, Sybyga reported that during his meeting with Kellogg, the parties discussed ways to expand mutually beneficial Ukrainian-American defense cooperation, welcomed bipartisan support for sanctions against Russia until 2025. They also coordinated further steps to increase the cost of the war for the aggressor.
Despite what Russian propaganda claims, Russia is not winning, and Ukraine is not losing this war. In reality, despite vast resources and losses, Moscow has failed to achieve any strategic goals. The Time has come to promote peace through power: to expand Ukraine's capabilities and strengthen transatlantic pressure to force Russia to end its aggressive war,' emphasized Sybyga.
The Foreign Minister of Ukraine pointed out that the meeting with the U.S. President's Special Representative was constructive and allowed for the discussion of important aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense and response to geopolitical challenges, as well as to deepen cooperation on regional security issues. Defining further steps to strengthen the partnership also became one of the key points of discussion at the meeting between high-ranking officials from both countries.
