Supermarkets Changed Prices for Vegetables Before Easter: How Much are Peppers, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, and Cabbage.

According to the Minfin portal, supermarkets have raised prices for vegetables before Easter.
Before the holidays, the demand for fresh vegetables always increases, as they are an integral part of the festive table and a popular ingredient for grilling. Therefore, a noticeable increase in vegetable prices before Easter was observed in Ukraine.
Prices for Bulgarian peppers have particularly increased - their price rose by 9% compared to the previous month.
The average price for a kilogram of yellow Bulgarian peppers is 295.43 UAH, while in March it was at the level of 270.88 UAH. This increase is explained by seasonal fluctuations and increased demand before the holidays.
The price dynamics for tomatoes remain unchanged. The decrease in the cost of 'plum' tomatoes and pink tomatoes was offset by the increase in prices for other types.
Red tomatoes have decreased by 14% to 109.72 UAH per kilogram, 'plum' tomatoes - by 12% to 142.60 UAH, while pink tomatoes have increased by 3% to 192.70 UAH.
Prices for cucumbers showed various dynamics. Smooth cucumbers have risen in price by 8%, short-fruited by 10%, while 'Estafeta' cucumbers have decreased in price by 10%.
Smooth cucumbers cost 144.73 UAH per kilogram, short-fruited cucumbers - 139.90 UAH, and 'Estafeta' cucumbers - 194.97 UAH.
A positive change in vegetable tariffs before Easter was the decrease in the price of young cabbage by 22%.
The price for a kilogram of young cabbage was 78.93 UAH, compared to the March price of 101.54 UAH.
Thus, vegetable prices in Ukraine have noticeably changed before Easter. The increase in prices for Bulgarian peppers and various dynamics of prices for tomatoes and cucumbers indicate seasonal fluctuations and increased demand for these products before the holidays.
