The New York Times: Russia and North Korea are preparing a 50,000-strong group for an offensive.

50,000 troops, including North Korean units, have been concentrated by the Russian army for an offensive in the Kursk region. This was reported by The New York Times, citing American and Ukrainian officials.
According to US data, Russia has managed to gather such a large number of troops without losing strength in eastern Ukraine. This allows it to conduct hostilities simultaneously on several fronts.
It is known that the North Korean contingent numbers over 10,000 troops. They have Russian uniforms and have received weapons from Moscow, including machine guns, sniper rifles, anti-tank missiles, and grenade launchers. The North Korean units will operate as separate combat units.
According to Ukrainian sources, the North Korean forces are divided into an assault unit and a support unit, which will ensure security in the recaptured territories.
According to American officials, the North Korean military is receiving training in artillery firing, infantry tactics, and trench clearing. This indicates their potential involvement in frontal attacks on Ukrainian defensive positions.
It is worth recalling that Russian soldiers from North Korea have already been used in combat operations, and the manner of their use has been explained by the military.
