In several regions of Ukraine, emergency power outages have been introduced: YASNO summarized the results of Russia's attack on Christmas.


Russia's attack on the energy system of Ukraine: consequences and reaction
After the Russian attack on the energy system of Ukraine during the Christmas holidays, the general director of YASNO - Serhiy Kovalenko spoke about the consequences and the situation.
Kovalenko reported that Russian troops struck energy infrastructure facilities in the country, focusing on electricity generation. This resulted in the death of one power plant employee.
Immediately after the attack, preventive electricity outages were introduced to maintain system stability. After that, scheduled outage plans were executed. The system operated in three out of six possible queues.
Note that for Kyiv, Dnipro, and the region, specific schedules are available on the YASNO website. Residents of the capital are advised to install the YASNO app to receive notifications about outages and power restoration at their address.
Kovalenko also emphasized that the energy system requires Time to recover and stabilize, as after previous attacks. Due to repair work, there may be changes in outage schedules.
Today, December 26, DTEK Dnipro Electric Networks reported emergency power outages in some regions of Ukraine. Accordingly, the outage schedules are no longer in effect.
In particular, emergency outages were introduced in the Dnipropetrovsk region by the decision of NEC Ukrenergo.
'Outage schedules are no longer in effect. Please save electricity if you have it, to help stabilize the system. Thank you for your understanding!', the message on DTEK's website noted.
Emergency outages were also imposed in the Poltava region.
Furthermore, at 07:30 in the village of Kremenchuk in the Kremenchuk district of the region, an order about emergency outage schedules with a capacity of 20 MW was introduced.
Meanwhile, starting from 06:48, by the order of 'Ukrenergo', an emergency outage schedule was implemented in the Kirovohrad region.
'Please note: in the case of simultaneous implementation of the emergency outage schedule and the hourly outage schedule, the outage time according to your schedule may be extended,' noted representatives of 'Kirovohradoblenergo'.
