Ukrainians can receive subsidies and benefits for coal and wood: PFA revealed the nuances.

- Ukrainian citizens who do not have central heating or do not use natural gas or electricity can receive housing subsidies and benefits for the purchase of solid and stove household fuels, including coal and wood.
- This was reported by the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
Families whose incomes do not allow them to cover heating expenses on their own can receive housing subsidies for solid fuel. Additionally, benefits for solid fuel can be used by war veterans, victims of the Chernobyl disaster, large families, and other categories of citizens.
To receive a subsidy, it is necessary to submit an application and declaration, and for the benefit, an application and, if necessary, a certificate of having stove heating.
For households that have already been granted a subsidy or benefit for solid fuel, additional support is provided in the second year, which is paid once during the heating season.
The amount of this assistance is determined individually and depends on the granted benefits or subsidy. Importantly, this support is provided automatically if the citizen has applied for assistance before.
Households that have not applied for benefits or subsidies in 2024 but require such assistance can submit an appropriate application to the Pension Fund authorities by the end of the year. After that, additional support will be provided automatically.
The PFA also clarified the procedure for considering income for the appointment of housing subsidies and simplified the process for obtaining benefits when changing residence.
