Iryna Vereshchuk announced the introduction of a bill on national resistance to the Verkhovna Rada. The changes in legislation are aimed at preparing citizens to defend the state. Training will be conducted voluntarily or as part of educational programs, using Training Centers across the country.
'The training system for national resistance is not about war, it is about readiness,' Vereshchuk emphasized.
The Training Centers will have wide-ranging powers, including the ability to use the property of state and local authorities for training and create shooting ranges. It will also be allowed to defer some categories of men from mobilization.
