In Ukraine, prices for basic vegetables have soared: how much do potatoes, onions, and carrots cost.


Prices for some vegetables in Ukraine rose at the end of January. According to data from the Minfin portal, this marked a noticeable increase in the cost of basic vegetables.
Potatoes now cost on average 34.68 UAH per kilogram, which is 2.11 UAH more than in December. The price of potatoes in different stores ranges from 28.85 UAH to 40.50 UAH per kilogram. Young potatoes continue to become more expensive and now cost 44.90 UAH per kilogram, while pink potatoes cost 35.50 UAH per kilogram.
Onions have also gone up in price - the average price now stands at 86.75 UAH per kilogram, which is 21.67 UAH higher than in December. You can buy bulb onions for 17.35 UAH per kilogram, while blue onions cost about 35.75 UAH per kilogram.
The price of carrots has also increased - on average, it costs 37.60 UAH per kilogram, which is 7.97 UAH more than in December. In different stores, the price for carrots ranges from 31.40 UAH to 49.50 UAH per kilogram.
Thus, vegetable prices continue to rise in Ukraine.
