Drivers are facing fines for the most common habit: how to avoid it.

New road safety rules have been introduced in Poland, imposing fines and penalty points for drivers who incorrectly use navigation devices while driving. For this violation, a driver can be fined 500 złoty and receive 12 penalty points.
Particular attention is paid to drivers who hold their smartphones in hand instead of using special mounts, according to the publication 'Revocation'.
The police note that the main reason for applying fines is situations where the driver is distracted from driving while holding a phone with an active navigator in hand. Police have the full right to impose a fine if they notice such a violation during a traffic check.
'Using a smartphone while driving significantly increases the risk of traffic accidents. That is why we pay special attention to this issue,' Polish law enforcement officials say.
Traffic safety experts recommend installing navigation devices in special holders located in the lower left part of the windshield to avoid problems with the law. This placement ensures optimal visibility of the screen without obstructing the view of the road.
It is also important to position the device correctly so that it does not obstruct access to important car elements, including airbags. Properly securing the navigator allows the driver to calmly monitor the route without being distracted from the road, reducing the likelihood of emergency situations.
Moreover, drivers may be deprived of their driving licenses for the habit of 'flashing' their headlights.
