The enemy is trying to encircle Toretsk: The Armed Forces of Ukraine report on the situation.

The Russian troops are gradually entering Toretsk, but they are suffering significant losses. This was reported by Mykhailo Stoikevych, deputy head of the staff of the 49th separate assault battalion 'Carpathian Sich'.
The enemy is using various types of weapons, including artillery and guided aerial bombs (GABs), despite the risk to their own soldiers.
The occupiers are not evacuating their wounded. However, they are unable to encircle Toretsk.
'There is currently no threat of encirclement of the city. Despite the difficult conditions, Ukrainian units are at an advantage and are effectively countering the aggressor,' Stoikevych said.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively using FPV drones equipped with surveillance systems adapted for night attacks.
'The units successfully destroy enemy groups trying to infiltrate the city, hiding under the rubble of buildings,' Stoikevych added.
The Russian forces are developing drones on fiber optics, making them difficult to suppress in electronic warfare. Both sides face challenges in using drones due to rain and icing, which reduces their effectiveness.
