An activist, Dmytro Hanul, was killed in Odesa.

A shooting occurred in the city of Odesa, during which an unknown man shot a passerby in the Primorsky district. This was reported by the police of the Odesa region.
As noted by people's deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko and local media 'Dumska', the activist Dmytro Hanul was killed.
According to law enforcement, the report of the murder came in around 10:30. The shooter fled the crime scene.
The police and forensic experts are investigating all circumstances of this case and are working on apprehending the criminal.
Dmytro Hanul was a well-known Odesa civic activist and volunteer who actively assisted the Ukrainian military. He was involved in volunteer work and supplied the military with necessary resources.
In 2023, Hanul became a victim of an attack in the city of Odesa. He was invited to a meeting by three men in military uniforms who deceitfully attacked him. Hanul managed to escape and call the police. He claimed that he knows the organizer of the attack, who had previously ordered an attack on another activist, Serhiy Sternenko.
Previously, Hanul had contacted the Security Service of Ukraine for protection, as he had been arrested in Moscow on charges under Russian criminal articles.
The activist also received threats after defending the honor of Ukrainian soldiers. Russian resources began to disclose personal information about his relatives.
It is known that the European Court of Human Rights accepted applications regarding Ukraine's inaction during the confrontation between pro-Russian and pro-Ukrainian activists in Odesa on May 2, 2014.
